Up and running in a few minutes.
How do I create a Jalonio workspace?
Go to app.jalonio.fr/inscription. Enter your organisation’s name, your workspace address (such as your-organisation.jalonio.fr), your name and a password. Confirm with the link sent to you by email, valid for 24 hours: the workspace opens on the Discovery plan, free and with no credit card.
How do I create my first project?
Open the “Projects” menu, then “New project”. Give it a name: the project key (for example PORTAL) is suggested automatically. Pick a template, then “Create the project”. Type a title in “Create a ticket” and press Enter: your first ticket exists.
Which project template should I choose?
Simple Kanban (To do, In progress, Done) to get started. Scrum to work in sprints, with a backlog. Request tracking to handle requests, from “New” to “Closed”. Milestone project to steer epics, due dates and key dates. Everything can be changed afterwards.
How do I create an epic or a sub-task?
Jalonio has three levels: epic, ticket, sub-task. On a ticket, use “Add a sub-task”; on an epic, “Add a ticket to the epic”. The ticket shows progress, for example “3 of 5 done”.
How do I contact support?
By email at [email protected], Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (Paris time). We reply within 3 working days on the Discovery and Team plans, and within one working day on the Organisation plan.
Everyone sees what they need to see.
How do I invite my team?
An administrator opens “Administration”, then “Users”, and invites each person by email. The invitation link is valid for 7 days. Then add people to your projects, in the project settings.
What are the roles in a project?
Project lead: everything, including settings. Member: creates and edits tickets, comments. Viewer: reads tickets and notes. External guest: only sees the tickets they created, are assigned to or follow.
Do viewers and external guests count as paid users?
No, never. Only billable users count: active accounts that are neither external guests nor viewers only in all their projects.
Leave Jira without starting from scratch.
How do I import my Jira tickets?
“Projects”, then “Import from Jira”. Two sources: a CSV export from Jira, or a direct connection to Jira through its API (administrators only). In both cases, you check the mappings, run a simulation, then import. The details are in our guide to migrating from Jira.
Are ticket numbers kept?
Yes, if you give the Jalonio project the same key as in Jira: PORT-12 stays PORT-12. The original Jira key also remains visible on the ticket and can be found by search.
What is not imported from Jira?
Time spent (worklogs), because Jalonio does not offer time tracking, and the change history. The API import does not bring over watchers either; the CSV import does when the column exists.
Can I run an import again without creating duplicates?
Yes. “Replay the import” updates the tickets already imported instead of duplicating them.
Sign in, securely.
I can’t find my workspace address.
It is in your invitation or welcome email, in the form your-organisation.jalonio.fr. Enter it on the Sign in page.
I forgot my password.
Click “Forgot your password” on the sign-in page: you receive a single-use link, valid for one hour. After 5 failed attempts, sign-in is blocked for 15 minutes.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication?
“My profile”, then “Two-factor authentication”. Scan the QR code with an app such as FreeOTP or Aegis, enter the 6-digit code, then keep the 10 recovery codes shown.
Can I sign in with Microsoft, Google or ProConnect?
Yes, with the Organisation plan: Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, ProConnect (the French State’s single sign-on for public agents), any OpenID Connect provider and LDAP directories. The administrator sets them up in “Administration”, then “Single sign-on”. On a self-hosted installation, single sign-on is always available.
A simple price, with no surprises.
How much does Jalonio cost?
The Discovery plan is free for up to 10 billable users. Beyond that, you only pay from the 11th user: €3.90 per user per month on the Team plan (€3.50 with annual billing), €6.90 on the Organisation plan (€6.20 with annual billing). A paid subscription bills at least one user. See pricing.
What happens when a Discovery workspace goes over 10 users?
Nobody loses access. New additions (invitations, account creation) are refused with a clear message until a paid plan is chosen. Remember: viewers and external guests are never counted.
Do prices include VAT?
There is no VAT to add: VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. The price shown is the price paid. Paid plans are reserved for organisations established in France; the Discovery plan is open to everyone.
Can I pay by bank transfer or through Chorus Pro?
Yes, with the Organisation plan. Write to [email protected] to receive a quote, then an invoice payable by bank transfer, including through Chorus Pro, the French public e-invoicing platform.
Are there discounts?
Yes: −15% for users 101 to 250, −25% beyond. A 20% discount is granted on request to small local authorities, nonprofits and educational institutions.
How do I cancel?
From the “Subscription” page in administration. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and the workspace returns to the Discovery plan, with all its data. If it then has more than 10 billable users, it becomes read-only until you choose a plan or deactivate accounts.
Your data stays yours.
Where is my data hosted?
With Contabo, in Germany, in the European Union. Every subprocessor is listed with its country in the privacy policy, including Cloudflare (network protection) and Google (backup storage), two US companies.
How do I export all my data?
An administrator opens “Administration”, then “Export”: the whole organisation is exported as a ZIP archive, in an open, documented format. A project lead can also export their project. Export remains possible even in read-only mode.
Does Jalonio contain trackers?
No. The application contains no advertising, no audience measurement and no third-party trackers. It only sets the cookies needed for your session and for real-time updates.
Is my data used to train an AI?
No. The AI assistance in paid plans goes through Mistral AI (France), with processing in the European Union; the data sent is not used to train the models. Data is only sent when someone asks for help, and the administrator can turn it off.
How do I delete my account?
“My profile”, then “My data”, then “Delete my account”, if the administrator allows it. The account is anonymised: name and address are erased, tickets and comments are kept under the name “Anonymised user”. An administrator can also anonymise an account.
Jalonio on your own servers.
Can we install Jalonio on our servers?
Yes. Jalonio is free software under the EUPL 1.2 licence. It installs on Debian 12 or 13, without Docker, with a single command. Write to [email protected] to discuss it.
How does it differ from the online service?
Self-hosted, there is no online sign-up, no billing and no user cap, and every feature of the Organisation plan is available. Jalonio makes no outgoing requests by default; AI assistance stays off until you configure a model.
Can we move from the online service to a self-hosted installation?
Yes. The full export of your organisation can be imported into another Jalonio installation, keeping ticket numbers.
The simplest way is to try it.
